3 Days in Koh Man Nork October 31, 2005
Posted by Martin in : Thailand , 4commentsThe plan was for Tik to bring her Mum and sisters to Bangkok last weekend and for us to all enjoy a weekend at a relaxing resort in Kantchenaburi together. Sadly the area itself was named in a few weather warnings and Tik’s mum was quite concerned about it.
Instead, we forgot about Tik’s family and went to the most romantic island resort I could ever imagine. It’s the first time I’ve traveled anywhere where the beaches and sea looks identical to the photos in their brochure.

How to Buy a Mansion in Hell October 19, 2005

I am not ashamed to admit that the notion of heaven scares me. Would I be obliged to pray every day should I go there? Would I be forced to keep company with priests, monks and nuns? What happens if I’ve been widowed and remarried? How would I share my time with my first and my second wife? Would it be ok to sleep in between them both? Would I be able to replace my inflatable dolls? Would I end up with too much free time because my internet worked properly and Windows never crashed?

Still Enjoying Aikido October 12, 2005
Posted by Martin in : Health & Sport, Thailand , add a commentThere’s not too much to report in the world of Aikido. I’m still enjoying it and attending 2-3 times a week. I’ve still got two left feet but these are suitably balanced by my two left hands.
Next month Bangkok will host a very significant 3 day Aikido seminar where all the Mr Bigs of the Aikido world will be attending. I’m looking forward to that.
N.B. The photo on the left is of Eli. It was taken to remember his last class with us before he takes a few weeks to travel and to ultimately return to Israel.
