A Tour of Koh Phangnan April 15, 2006

Songkran didn’t come to Koh Phangnan which was a shame. At the full-moon party there were a handful of people with water guns, and we saw some polite Thai staff pouring drops of water on guests during breakfast but perhaps the islanders can’t cope with two big parties in such a short time.
On traditionally the hottest day of the year we took a day-trip around Koh Phangnan by boat. We met at the pier in the morning and boarded the boat with about 30 other tourists.
First stop was a short swimming break which was more than welcome considering the heat. We then got the chance to snorkell although visibility wasnt so great. Much of the day was spent on the boat in between locations and this was a perfect opportunity to meet some new people. We got to visit various places of interest such as a fisherman villlage and a waterfall although what made the day so fun was the variety of people we met on the boat.
Today I took a lot of photos.
That evening we met up for mexican food in Haad Rin centre with about six of our new-found-friends.
